What We Repair in Godley
Washer Repair: Top-load and front-load washers that won't drain, spin, or start.
Dryer Repair: Gas and electric dryers with no heat, long dry times, or odd noises.
Refrigerator Repair: Fridges and freezers that aren't keeping things cold, plus leaks and ice makers.
We work on common brands like Whirlpool, Maytag, Samsung, LG, GE, Frigidaire, Kenmore, and KitchenAid. We repair gas appliances as well as electric ones.
One thing to know up front: we don't currently repair refrigerator sealed systems. That's the compressor and refrigerant side of the cooling system. If that's what we find, we'll explain it plainly so you can decide what to do next.
Service Calls and Our Repair Warranty
Service calls are $125 or $150, depending on the appliance. We'll confirm the fee when you schedule. If we complete the recommended repair, you pay the repair price we quote you before starting, with no separate service-call charge. If no repair is completed, only the service-call fee applies.
90-day warranty on parts and labor for the repair we did. If that same part fails within 90 days, we'll fix it at no charge.
$20 Off for Veterans, First Responders & Seniors: $20 off any completed repair for veterans, first responders, and seniors. The discount doesn't apply to the service-call fee when no repair is done.

Before You Call
It helps to have a few things handy:
The brand of the appliance.
What it's doing, or not doing.
Any error codes on the display.
A photo of the model and serial number tag, if it's easy to get to.
Can't find the tag? No problem. You can still book a visit.
If you have a video or a helpful photo, the office will explain how to send it when you make your appointment.
Please don't move the appliance or take off any panels to get any of this.

Giraffe Rock and a School Older Than the Town
1
A school in "giraffe rock"
Godley's historic school is clad in native stone laid in a "giraffe rock" pattern, with Spanish Colonial-style entries. A 1937 gym, a 1939 auditorium, and a 1940 main building, built with New Deal help, made it unusually large for a rural school.
The Godley school district was formed in July 1884, two years before the railroad town of Godley began in 1886. Godley College opened in a three-story frame building in 1899.
The town is named for R. B. Godley, a Cleburne lumber merchant who donated eight acres for the townsite and 20 acres for the railroad right-of-way. By 1888 Godley already had a gristmill, three cotton gins, and two dairy-processing plants.
